Booths at Treasures North.

Today a talented former dealer came into the mall while I was working to say he'd just moved into a new booth next door!  Since I work in the south store of our twin warehouse antique establishment, I just had to run over to check it out!!  Here it is!  (Above) Full of wonderful garden goodies!!
Old friend Mike's booth always looks good too!!
As does Chuck's.

Of course Keith's booths are always the stars of the show!!

might have gotten carried away.  Keith does have about 6 booths here at the north store.

OK. This is the last of Keith's displays for now!!
And this one is Lila's. She's a huge Pyrex fan and a fellow follower of Utah Pyrex Pirates on Face Book!!
And last of all, here is my own recently redone booth at the north store...
... In all its glory.   Thanks for coming along!!

Old Texas Missions.

Here we are visiting the Catholic missions here in San Antonio ... This first one is the oldest, San Fransisco de la Espada.  It's named for Saint Francis of the sword.
Here's my girls in front of this charming early 1700s chapel.
I love the red brick around the window mixed with the gray stone. Originally it was all stuccoed and white washed, of course I love the aged brick and exposed stone.
My grand girl Charlie walks up the isle of the church.
This is Saint Francis of the sword
There are three missions close together and we went to the San Jaun mission next.  Here I am with Charlie and her mom, Britt
This mission has white washed stucco.
I loved this water feature in the garden of the parsonage.

Wouldn't it be amazing to live in a 300 year old house!!
                 Great photo op too!
Here's the interior of the San Jaun chapel

We had a great time! Time to go kids!!

Fairies Move Into 120 Year Old Well

If you saw the fairy garden I did in my last post with my granddaughter last weekend, you are prepared to see my newest addition to Fairy Land.
This is what the old well looked like last Saturday.  It included statuary that's deteriorating, a dead rose bush, a wild climbing rose,  probably from the roots of the dead rose and English violets, that I encourage!
Here it is sans the dead rose... Just wish Mr P had been home to take a pic of me standing in the well digging out that old rose!!
I added potting soil about 3 inches deep, then laid out the garden path and gravel stream ...
I found these cute pottery fairy furnishings at the dollhouse festival last year.   This is a log couch and stump chairs.
This is the cookie jar size fairy house and cute paving tiles.
A closeup of some plants and the gazing ball. Here's a top view, below. I love how it turned out!!

Fairy Garden Spring Time

It's fairy garden time again, so I collected my 7 year old granddaughter and we got started...
This is what it looked like this morning. Strangely all the ground coverers I put in last year were still alive in April, because we had such a mild winter, but a freeze in late April took them all!
We moved things around a bit, and have given the fairy house the a fenced yard and gate!
We got soaked putting it together in the rain, but then we didn't have to water when we were done either.
This historic well turned planter is next... The rose bush that's thrived for years there, suddenly died, and a wild climbing rose grew up against the side of the well. I bought several fairy garden accoutrements last year, and soon they will have a home in this charming spot!!

Squirreling It Away at the Acorn Antique Show

The Acorn Antique show was in Ogden last weekend, which is 100 miles north of my house, but I played my Mothers Day card and wrangled a date with Mr. Pollyanna.  This frilly (really!) deer head was a fav!!

And the scalloped pink cake place was pretty cute!  I ran into the mother of this  mother-daughter duo, who share the booth, at Round Top lasting, if you recall me mentioning her!!  Always great stuff!! And super cute displays.
This is Brenda's booth of Just a Bed of Roses fame.
I always love her vintage goodies!'

This cute booth belongs to Sherry, Carla and Denise, favorite Fleaology dealers who have just combined their super powers and started an upholstery nirvana  in Ogden called the C and S Co-op which you can find at 5798 S 1900 w suite A3

This amazing clock is all original and was in Mary and Fred's booth .... As long time Round Top dealers, it was fun to pick their brains for insider info for our fall trip!!
Would have loved to have taken home this bronze of Joseph Smith, but even with a payment plan set up with sometimes Fleaology dealer John, the $3,000 price tag was just too weighty for my budget.

And how sweet is this beautiful set of Haviland.  Ten years ago I'd have flipped!

And I saved the best for last;  for your viewing pleasure check out Cathie and Fred's booth!

Just reviewing the dealers whose booths I shared and realized that all of them, save the Round Top dealers, have done Fleaology!!  In fact of dealers who did the Acorn show I have 7 of them coming to do Fleaology this weekend.  If your local don't miss their goodies!! It's 8:00 to 4:00 on Saturday. For more info Check out our blog. Fleaology.blogspot.com
