Gratitude Display

I had the most fun on Saturday that I have had in a long time ... Of course it stands to reason that it was about friends, crafting and antiquing.

I will be sharing the antiquing that I did at fleattitude when I blog on Wednesday, but today I wanted to share the artsy weekend I attended with my friend Wendy.
The Artsy Weekend was sponsored by Marci at Fallow Field Farm.  Lots of amazingly creative women attended for 12 hours of crafting, snacking and chatting and  fun ...does it get better than that?

Here  is Wendy, evidently awe struck by all she sees.  There were free make and takes, classes available, gifts to exchange, prizes to win and snacks, lunch, decorating ideas, like minded crafters to meet, and time to finish up projects.

A couple of crafters show off finished projects.

Here I am with some pretty amazing ladies I met for the first time ... Blythe, me, Dru, Becky and Laurie.

And this is my project. I saw it on Instgram and love it.   The plastic frame is from Ikea.  The idea is from Just a Girl on Instagram.  I got 10 gratitude cards completed ... So 20 to go.

This is its home for the next few weeks.

Here are a few of the other cards I got done.  Of course Graphics Fairy was my go to place for the awesome fall and Thanksgiving Graphics.

Flea.o.logy Flea Bits for Vintage Crafting

Have I mentioned my bits project lately?

When I was in California flea marketing last year, some friends and I discovered an altered artist's paradise at a store named Zinnia's. You may have read my blog post about it.

Since then I have been adding lots of jars of fun smalls that I have run across to my craft room at home.

Lots of fun goodies that come in handy for projects ...
Now I have taken them, and more into Treasures Antiques where I work and sell.   I have dedicated a booth to the venture and it has been very well received.

Today I named the venture and made a sign for it, complete with a funky steam punkish pointing finger that I found at my go to place, Graphics Fairy!

Here are more pictures of the kind of goodies I have gathered for crafters and artists of all kinds.

I have loved putting it all together at the Antique Mall,  but finding little bits of goodness Is definitely the most fun.

Thanksgiving Table

Had so much fun Tuesday setting up a faux table setting for a contest that Christine, of Vintage Yard Sale Utah, a Facebook page I follow, has going on.

I love my brown transfer ware collection, and used it for the first time last TG.  For this photo op I also pulled out my pearl handled antique silverware... So fun, but I only have four spoons so it won't be getting used any time soon.  (The sets were made for a fish course, so they just came with forks and knives .... Any spoons you find, like these, we're used for sauces, and are the size of soup spoons ... Still searching eBay for more of those.)

With the funky and casual center piece I thought I better add something else to balance all the antique dinner ware,Mao I tore up old flour sacks for napkins, and used ultra tarnished old napkin rings.

Thanks Christine, for the motivation and excuse to do something I love ... She is announcing the winner next week, if you want to go and see what other, better photographed entries look like.
