Dearest Pennant Banner for Valentines

As you know, when I finished my Valentines mantel in the dining room, I immediately felt that it needed a pennant banner.  So here it is!  It says "dearest" which was an endearment my mother used for my father ... So sweet.

I also decided to add some of the pink shredded cellophane to the bottom of the cloche ... I just like it better that way.

I think the pennant banner really adds a sense of completion, and of course, I love pennant banners, so it was just going to happen.

Pink and Black Valentines Mantel

Barely a month until the sweetest holiday of them all ... so it must be time to decorate!  I love stacked cups, and I have a lot of pretty pink tea cups, primarily because love  tea parties.  I thought these cups looks sweet together filled with pink shredded cellophane for nesting material, and a sparkly pink bird to nest in the top cup.

I placed the pretty pink tower in an antique dome, from the eighteen hundreds ... and love the look.

with pink details added to my double set of black urns, and a sequined sheer black scarf and its ready to go ...

Of course I am sure I need a pink pennant banner on front of the mantel ... but we'll leave that for another day.

My flea.o.logy sale is this Saturday, so its not hard to imagine what I will be doing this week ... that's right; hunting and gathering and painting and tweaking and packing ... and setting up ... can hardly wait.  Hope you have some projects you are looking forward to as well.

Antique Valentines at Treasures

I've had a lovely couple of days working on my booth at the antique mall in Springville where I work.  It may seem early for Valentines day, but people want to decorate a few weeks before the big day, and they are hunting and gathering now.  Do you know that over the last couple of weeks I have sold every single heart shaped aluminum mold that I had in stock?  

Oh and the boy in green above, is a three - d, 1930s Valentine .... I love the pun.

And that's the whole Valentines display ...did you notice that the apothecary jar of pink and silver ornaments is being held over from Christmas?  I love this time of year, and will be getting around to some sweetheart designs at home as well.  Happy Valentines Decorating.
