Meeting Madeliene L' Amoure

Last week my friend Laura and I discovered a charming boutique in Bountiful, Madeliene L' Amoure ...

on our monthly girls day out!! 

All the pretty ruffled goodness a girl could want! 

A place for perfect girl friend gifts... 

And tea things too! 

Pink banners and twinkle lights all seem to add up to magic! 

In fact you'll find every girly thing your heart desires!! 

Stop in sometime for some Fru Fru fun! 

I know you won't be disappointed!

It's a little bit of heaven on earth ... 

And remember Bountiful is just 10 minutes north of Salt Lake, and unlike downtown SLC stores there's easy street parking!!   So go in and meet Elle and let her show you her charming store! 

Come See 3Dotters Vintage Show!

Last week was a whirlwind of activty!  It started with a two day buying trip and then two days of work!! 

And then after a morning of finishing up projects on Friday, I met my DH at the old Rec Center in Pleasant Grove to set up for the 3dotters Vintage Holidays sale!! 

Saturday morning the early birds were in the door by 8:00 A.M.  I think I beat them there by 15 minutes. 

Here is a Quote by A Lincoln I crafted from game letters. I love the quote: "I am a success today because I had a friend who believed in me and I did not have the heart to let him down"

And my first attempt at chalkboard art. 

I took pictures of some of my buyers. This lady collects The Night Before Christmas books with different illustrators.  This one was illustrated by Grandma Moses!  She was so excited!! 

The lady who bought the Lincoln quote has a son named Lincoln, she's going to hang it in his room! 

I did a pano of the main sales area. There were two other annexes with 55 dealers in all! 

This great retro man found an awesome 50s lamp! 

A colorful French poster went home with this gal. 

I love this sweet sign, but then I am going through a red and white phase!! 

This adorable mother and daughter bought 1950s vintage wrist watches!  Did you know they make great bracelets? I sold 15 of these old gems! 

Getting ready for the holidays! 

Cute Margo of Wonderland Vintage had to have this map I got from my sweet friend Wendy! 

And this adorable lady bought the old oak chair I'd upholstered in a burlap coffee bag on Friday morning! 

I sold 2 of the 6 globes I brought but I also bought 2 from other dealers!  There were tons of fun world globes at the show. Maybe even a hundred first thing. I saw them going by my booth all day. Here are a few folks I grabbed to snap their picture! 

But all good things must come to an end!! At 4:00 P.M. Hubs was back to help me load out!  What a fun and energizing day!! Thanks for coming along! 

The Best Halloween House Ever!!

Hi all ... I know, Halloween is over and you are sick of it ... but if I don't post these amazing pictures now, I will never post them ... they will go down the drain of life, and I will never remember this wonderful Girls' Day Out!!

To start, this is the same house that I took pics of a few weeks back, when I was invited to a tea party at this house ... Kim is an amazing artisan ... she sells in local gift shops, and has many followers who collect her vintage and vintage-look crafted goodies.  Yes, I'm also a groupie! 

 Because after hosting around forty of us at tea, she got so many comments of regret on Facebook, Instagram, by email and in face to face encounters, she decided to host an open house ... is she accommodating or what??!!

 Given that, a few of my Utah County blogging chums decided to check out this open house of amazingness.  I tagged along, because really, there is so much to see that my 90 minutes there two weeks ago was clearly not enough!!

We ooh-ed and ah-ed and sipped spiced cider ...

 but before we knew it, it was time to go ...  she said she'd loved having us to visit, then said "You know, you can have anything you want, as far as I'm concerned!"  Happy Day, I misappropriated her remark and  ... told her my true dream was to check out her craft studio!!

Isn't she just the best?  The studio was all I'd hoped, it has its own bathroom, and even a balcony, for a quick spray painting opportunity now and then.



Then it was off to check out her daughter's store; Retro Betty!! I've shopped Retro Betty at shows, and followed her on FB and IG for a long time ... but hadn't stepped foot in the door ...


Lets just say the store did not disappoint!!

 How adorable is this dress?  It was an award winning costume in the 40's, and with its crepe paper collar you can bet its not been washed ... just worn that one magical memory making night!  I think its stunning.  Of course there are a lot of vintage clothing that is very wearable, and repro 40 and 50's style clothing as well.

We finished off the evening at Zupas ... these are the wonderful women with whom I got to share stunning evening.



I'm sure you can see why I want to remember this amazing day out!!
