Spring Time at Broad Stone.

Time to celebrate spring. This is the spring craft I did with my art group. Thanks for sharing Joanne. Now it's under glass. I love cloches.
This is my dining room mantel. I love the big fat wool ball garland I got at Retro Betty's.
This sweet pink card was made by the amazing Kimi!  The little spoolie was made by me a few years back. I made the blue plaster bunnie. Check out the tutorial here.
This sweet vintage green basket is an oldie, and it's just the right size to display this egg with a view!
These fancy eggs are another craft from the past.
This is the hutch of my desk in the parlor!
Another past spring craft!
And my favorite old craft is this set of spring pots!
And last of all my antique (1800's) majolica ceramic basket with chicks hatching on top! It's been broken and glued repeatedly!  But it's my favorite spring antique!!

Hope your spring is blooming too!

Before and After Sunday

Hi all ...  This is Brooke, she's local and does fabulous things in the Reclaimologist group  we both belong to and at local shows.
But, I also follow her on Instagram. Yep, I'm hooked on Instagram. Are you? Brooke features a hashtag share on Sundays, called #beforeandafterSunday. I've had so much fun digging through old blogs to find some of my favorite projects.   So I thought I'd share some here.
Here's the organ hubs and I made into a desk.
Then there's the mid century chair that didn't sell for two years at the antique mall, then sold out of my kitchen to my plumber once it had new paint and a seat cover.
The before of my spice chest ..,
After some stenciling fun.
This fun tall cupboard got a new look.
And my favorite, a marriage, some paint, and stenciling!

Who doesn't love a good before and after!!  Thanks for the inspiration Brooke

Happy Birthday Dr Suess!

Well. Today is Dr Suess' birthday!
But we celebrated it Sunday ...
Here's hubs as his alter ego.
And Hannah (dil) and me in our reds and whites!
She even did her fingernails and toenails.
We hung out Suessish garland ...
And ate Suessish foods ...
Yum!
Evidently Swedish Fish becomes unyummy when a part of the classic favorite ...7Red Fish Blue Jello!
We put together a Suess puzzle ...
We also played a funny commercial Dr Suess game ...
Well the kids did ... But we all got to laugh!
That's us, all striped and polka dotted!
Happy Birthday Dr Suess!
