Fairy Garden Wonders!

I have had so much fun with my fairy garden this year, that I thought I would find others who have them as well.  The first five pictures are of a fairy garden done by friend LaVern's sister-in-law, Julie Crump ... I don't know her, but she did an amazing job, and she did it all in this pot!!
I love the bonsai tree behind the bench!

Some people don't use containers at all, like my friend Jane Parker, she made hers in her own private wood land!  Aren't the mushroom table and chairs just too cute for words!!

These three were all done by Jessica Cook, a face book friend ... she used a wagon, a bird bath, and also did one in a boarder!  They are all charming and all have a different feel about them!  Thanks for sharing these Jessica, they are adorable!!

This cute garden was done by my friend LaVern Crump!  I love the tiny wheel  barrow!  She built her's in an old crate!

This charmer was built by a lady here in Payson, whose grand children had a yard sale in her yard last weekend, who let me take some pictures to share!!  She built hers in a wheel barrow. Her grandchildren said that she built all the darling earthy houses herself, so charming!!
... and of course here my own little fairy granddaughter and fellow fairy garden builder, Eva.

We built the fairy garden in mid-June and here we are the beginning of August and its still alive.  We had a lot of rain last week and it even sprouted miniature mushrooms, as seen in the boarder to the right.
I am loving the tiny fuzzy flowers that are blooming in some of the ground covers.  They are the perfect scale!
Here's another mushroom to the right of the statue... and a bit of the arch that was added to my fairy garden by an unknown participant ... or maybe the fairies built it, you know, right before they planted the tiny mushrooms!
These two gardens are from Jann Olson at Share Your Cup!
Isn't the bike adorable!!

I you have a fairy garden too, please post a link to help us find it in the comments below!!

Reinvented Copper Charm Bracelet

I am the queen of junk jewelry collecting, I wish I was the queen of putting it together into fun new creations, but I am afraid that isn't so.

That being said, I do sometimes jump into my huge stash of junk bits and make something fun, usually to sell, but sometimes as a gift.

When I found a key chain with this Bingham Canyon emblem, I got excited because it was copper colored, though the pic makes it look brassy, and I have a sister who LOVES copper.

Our father was also born while his parent were working a boarding house in Bingham Canyon ... so seeing this was the birth of her birthday gift idea.
I had sorted all my charms and bits that were copper colored into one drawer thinking that someday I might make some copper jewelry for sis.  This week I dug through all that, finding the horse emblem above and since my sister owns horses and a stud service named, Angel Arabians, it seemed like a perfect addition.

Stretched pennies were also perfect additions, like this one from Utah's Dinosaur Land, and there was also one from the copper mine!
I added other bits of copper, including a ring and a heart ... then some glass beads in oranges and a sweet glass elephant with his trunk up for good luck.  Today I am going junking with Joyce for her birthday outing.  Then we will have lunch somewhere and I will give her gifts .... all of them are copper, as usual, and antique.  She is getting two tiny copper luster pitchers, and the copper horse off of an old weather vane.

I can tell you all about it and not worry about spoiling the surprise, because she is a non electronic girl.  She goes to the library once a month to read emails ... I can't imagine that personally, but it suits her!!
Happy Birthday little Sis!

Gardens: Fairies and Giants!

I had a lovely walk this morning.  Because I was looking for fairy gardens at my neighbors houses I found lots of fun stuff ... just no fairy gardens ...

I want to do a post sometime next week with pictures of my friends' and neighbors' fairy gardens, so if you have one, please send me a couple of photos of it, and I will include it in my fairy garden touring blog post!  Send them to patula10@aol.com  Thanks!

Above is the make over my friend Cristie has done to her garden shed, and to the left are my morning glories that have made it to the top!  I love morning glory, how about you?
My cute neighbor RaLene, has this new bird feeder hanging from her Mulberry tree!
... and I found teeny tiny mushrooms in my own fairy garden yesterday!  How fun is that ... busy little fairies!

I love how the ground cover has these tiny blooms, they are in perfect scale for my fairies to pick!

... and I just know you were waiting for the giants ... well here they are with my friend and walking partner Ginny posing to give you an idea of how tall they are.
Reminder:  if you have a fairy garden, please share it with me .... I am loving this fun new fad!!

I am sharing this on Jann Olson's Share Your Cup Thursday.
