Winnie the Pooh Quilting Bee

I had a lot if fun this week, when I was invited to work on this quilt at Sherri's. House.
Sherri started this fun quilt top when she was a young  married.  As a quilting novice she mixed fabrics including denim and double knit fabric.  Then embroidered squares with what she had on hand.  Such a fun memory maker.

Her cute sister in law Margaret encouraged her to finish the quilt and sashed these beehives for her.
Luncheon was provided!!
I brought Sherri this garland for her pooh room.

I also got to see her amazing house, which I will share with you in the future, including her fun Pooh Room! .

Joanne's Valentine Cottage Decor

If you are one of the hundreds that enjoyed perusing Joanne's cottage decorated for Christmas, I know you are going to love the Valentines edition!!

Joanne redid her cottage this week, and was kind enough to share!

I love these decorated cones, they are so reminiscent of Victorian Tussy Mussys which I have always loved!

The sweet gown to the left is Joanne's own blessing dress ... I asked if her daughter had worn it, and she sent me a picture of the lovely gown they had worn, across the bottom of the bed, its the last picture in this post.
So very charming.  I'm thinking a banner made of cones would be charming ... hmmmm

... and here is the bed in an alternate, brighter covering.   How sweet is the heart banner?

After seeing her original picture of the gown, she decided she needed a spot of color ... and made this banner ....  I have definitely got to make a new banner, I love this one.

And here is the promised blessing gown that her daughters wore as babes ... such a charming cottage, thanks for sharing with us Joanne ... you inspire me, but I am still waiting for the young man whose doing a shoot in my cottage to have his snowy day, so that I can redo it ... I know, just call me a copy cat ... (but please don't call me a dirty rat)

Winter Fleaology With Friends

Here is your promised peek into fleaolgy.

The first three photos are of my booth!  I sold all but three of these globes!
          This one is Jennine's booth

These two photos are of Keith's booth.

We had Pyrex piled high!

This one is Carla and Sherry's

How cute are the Flamingos in Denise's booth. She's with Two Old Crows!

 This is Joanne's booth!

It's always fun to see other dealers I associate with, like these girls from the Reclaimologists, Jamie and Denise.

More reclaimologists, past and present, Shannon,Jeff and Mandy.

Here we have Angie and Mark... A
ngie is 'the American Homemaker'  and Mark is one of the Old Crows!  If this photo had a sound track you'd be hearing "we are not married" over and over.  Still we've all begun to feel like family.
Kathy of Utah weddings, catered our event and had her son run the photo booth...  He was pretty done by the end of the show!
I just thought you might like to see some of the goodies I collected for myself at the show!!!  Fleaology is great for the collection of goodies AND great memories.

I'd also like to thank my followers who came by and said hi!

Valentines Crafting

Here I am getting my crafter on!  Making treasures for Fleaology (I'll share Fleaology with you next week!)

Loved this cute party hat.

... And I managed to use some of my huge collection of spools too!

Punch cups got punched up a notch.
And vintage tart pans are always fun to embellish.

Here are some of them mixed into the display at Fleaology this morning!

Red and White Booth Display for Valentine's

Last week, I took down the Christmas Tree in our main display booth at Treasures Antiques South, and put together this Valentines Display.

I was so happy with how it turned out ... loved all the graphic red and white patterns I was lucky enough to find in our most excellent dealers' booths!!

Just as I finished a customer came in with this cute pup all dressed to match ... he did actually lift his ears, but not until I had taken my last shot.  What a cutie!!

Doing displays is one of the most fun parts of my job!!  If you are local come on down and check it out!
