The Darling's Christmas! Peterpan!

I spent the better part of the day setting up this Christmas tree and display for the PCMC Festival of Trees.   It's a fund raiser for our local children's hospital, Primary Children's, and every dime raised goes to pay hospital bills for charity care. There are no administration costs.
The ornaments are ideas I found on Pinterest, with a bit of theme tweaking.
This year the theme was Peterpan.
The ladies in my service group, 'We Can' did the ornaments ...
At our monthly meetings. This one took one lady 2 hours to produce, after our meeting I tried to beat her time. It took me two hours too. That's why there are exactly 2 on the tree!
Everyone's favorite were these peeking Tink in a lantern ornaments

My friend Joanne donated 3 Tinks to the effort!
Of course I managed to work some banners into the decor!!

Michael's bed!
Johns bed. My friend LaVern made and donated the darling quilts and matching pillowcases!
Here's Tink number three reading one of the half dozen copies of Peter Pan ... My friend Carolyn donated half of the books!

... and here's the girls who helped me make it happen!!

I'd also like to thank my hubs for putting the beds together, assembling the tree and framing the window!!  He's the best.

Holiday Smash Book Fun!

It was craft day again today ... And very little makes me happier than crafting with friends.  We are making smash book pages to share with each other for a Christmas book this year.  This page is Joanne's.

We really dig in and spread out. We tell stories and share embellishments!  Jann hosted us again, and her imaginative  decor sparks wonderful creativity!

Jann did these two pages ... Who knew digging through scrabble letters for elusive 'K's could be so much fun!!
We are saving space on half our pages to add our favorite holiday photos!
And we have chosen to use a vintage theme!

These are my two pages...
I thought I'd share our inspiration. Jann and her sister-in-law Laurie used the share method to make this Halloween smash book ....
It's not hard to see why both Jann and I were enchanted ...
These girls are just amazing.
Laurie will be contributing pages to this project too!
We will meet her next month when we get together to share pages and make our covers!
So much fun!
And I'm learning so much from these talented girls!

Thanks for coming along on yet another crafting adventure!!

Mad About Banners! Crafting Fun!

A few weeks ago on a girls' day out with Jann, Ann, and Joanne we decided to have a craft day and make banners. (Maybe I should change my name to Paula Pann!)
Jann loves banners as much as I do, which made her home the perfect spot!
You probably noticed all her pennant banners in the post I did about her craft room!
She has them everywhere!  It's like I say, a pennant banner makes everything a celebration!
How cute is this tiny one?
Ann had finished up and headed to her next scheduled event before I thought to take pictures, but this is Jann and Joanne.
This is Joanne's banner completed and in place at her home, since hers said 'nest'. The rest of us did 'Peace on Earth'
Here's Jann's.
And Ann's
I strung mine on ruffled ribbon at work...
And hung it across a display for pictures!
I'm so happy with it. The motto seems so important right now. As we all pray for peace on earth, and those effected by the violence in Paris last week.

Thanks for coming along.

Share Your Cup, Jann's Fabby crafting Space!

Today I had a lovely girls' crafting afternoon!  Jann of Have a Daily Cup  hosted us and we made Christmas banners that I will share another day!!
But I had to share her amazing craft room with you!
It's so well organized, but utterly charming as well.
This large closet of shelves is framed with sliding rail barn doors!!
And there's even room to craft with a friend!

Every inch is well thought out...
And so charming.
Many fun crafting supplies are on display.
Thanks for sharing Jann, but then that is what this gracious lady does best!
