Circus Pennant Banner

This is a fun project that took about an hour.
I love the felt balls people are using for swags, but Pom Poms are much cheaper, a bag of 50 for a buck at the dollar store instead of a buck each. I don't think they look much different.
I made the pennants to fold over and glued them over the string.  Then using my fiskars punch, I made the scalloped circle to back the painted and glittered wood letters.
Here it is in place. Hanging it from the slanted ceiling made it hang in front of the display below it, which I thought was kind of cool.
This is my inspiration ... I found it on Instagram from Natalme... Thanks!

I'm sharing this post on my friend Jann's Blog Party 'Share Your Cup Thursday'

  2. Love the circus banner!! It is funny because Barnum and Bailey Circus is coming here in April and it will be one of the last shows with the Asian elephants in it and I was just telling my husband that we need to go see it because we will never be able to see the elephants in the show again...
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
    Have a great weekend!!

    Hugs,
    Debbie

    1. Thanks Debbie, I didn't know that about no more elephants. It's kind of sad. Hope you get to go.

  3. Oh,such circusy happiness! I bought a white porcelain elephant at Disneyland...she's the one in the shower in Jungle Cruise. So cute! She's going into my collection. I am thinking of putting my summer circus display in my office this year. Your banner made me so happy!
