Halloween Friends

Tonight I had intended to show you my booth set at the Reclaimologist show in Spanish Fork ... but my phone died ... Nope, it didn't run out of battery, it died ... as in I need a new phone.

So instead, I am going to show you bits and pieces of my friends Halloween décor.  Above are Andrea and Ann's Jacks on a Stick, that they finished up after leaving my witch party, and therefore sent me pictures!

This fun candy corn wall hanging/quilt, was done by my friend Ginny, its companion quilt picture, unfortunately, is still on my dead phone.

My friend LaVern made this spell book, I thought it was charming.

My Friend Lynn made the adorable large quilt/wall hanging above ... and my friend Terry made the smaller, but equally adorable, one to the right!

The rest of the pictures are of Terry's fun and unique vintage and repro Halloween collection!!

Good bye now, I have dug out my real camera, and will have pictures of the Reclaimologist show on Monday!! I expect it will be amazing.  Thanks for coming along.

Nellie's Halloween Decor

So today I got my couch back ... newly upholstered by my very talented friend Arlene ... and with the extra seating I am all ready for my witch's party the day after tomorrow ... or NOT!

Since I am focused on getting things done for the big day ... its good my darling daughter (in-law) Nellie let me snaps pics of her Halloween décor to share, since I have been doing nothing in that direction ...

Love her chalk board art, don't you?

She said she made the fabric pennant banner last year, but this year felt it needed a bit of something ... she found a sheet of scrapbook papers with all these antique postcard images and just cut it up and added them with tiny clothes pins ...
I love the out come ... how charming.
Well, for now its back to crossing things off the party prep list ... can't wait to share it all with you, next Monday ... Happy Haunting Season!

BTW if you want to see more of the talented Nellie, this is the blog post she did today.

Lovely Autumn Day

With my witches' party coming up, I am on short order to finish my fall and Halloween décor.
I could decorate a hundred mantels ... I love it, but the piano needs some festivity too!
I thought the little picket fence gives the impression of a pumpkin patch!
I painted my urn black and the pumpkin white to compliment the autumn leaves and complete my Halloween color scheme.

The sign is a makeover ... just a bit of whimsy to go with my pumpkin patch under glass. Of course kudos are in order to Karen at Graphics Fairy for finding the antique pumpkin that I used.

... and just for fun, I thought I would share the window in my library ... its on the second floor of the house, and with Virginia Creeper growing up the wall outside, it looks amazing when it turns in the fall ... even through the lace curtains.  It makes me smile every time I walk in the room.

Quoth the Raven ...

Busy with more autumn and Halloween décor today ...
Have seen cloches on Pinterest with skulls and old books and thought I'd try it.

The book 'The Raven' is a recovered book I made with a great crow graphic I found on Graphics Fairy.

When I bought the small skull at the dollar store, I got it for its size and intended to scrap it and repaint it, but in the end decided I liked the glittered finish.

The crow on top, seemed perfect ...

I've been adding to my outdoor décor for weeks, so here it is.

The cast iron urn is missing its rim, and has been tucked away in my garage for 5 years ... its about time it saw the light of day, don't you think?

... and here is my very own haunted house ... and no, its not really, but I can't convince the neighbor kids of that ... Happy Haunting!

Madamoiselle Halloween; A French Witch

Its been a fun week.  The Instasale on Instagram with the Reclaim_ologists was a, shall we say, instant success ...

All but Mr. Crow found new homes ... including our friendly mademoiselle Halloween!

I started mademoiselle in early August with the intention of selling her in my whites booth at the final flea.o.logy ... which didn't happen.  So it was nice to add the finishing touches this week and find her a home in quick succession.

Her diamonds are made from pages of a lovely old French Novel ... ooh la la ...

Her trade mark emblem was found on Graphics Fairy, Marque de Fabrique, literally means 'Trade Mark', I thought that was perfect!

Her black netting skirt and witch hat are completely removable, so after the holiday she can move on to other Holiday themes ... wouldn't she be a pilgrim or elf?

Best Wishes in your lovely new home, mademoiselle Halloween.  I am delivering her this afternoon!

Halloween Meets Instagram

Today is the day ... its the Reclaim_ologists Instasale on Instagram .... and on the table above are some of my offerings.

Oh, and I had to show you the cute chair I picked up at the Haunted Mill Event a couple of weeks ago from Angie Farmer of The American Homemaker.  I love it!

These guys were so fun to make ... I used glass candle sticks and an old encyclopedia to decopauge them for the bases.  Also used scrapbook paper, vintage crepe paper, ribbon, old buttons, game pieces, rhinestone jewelry parts, washi tape and black Halloween garland!  Such a fun project.

Loved this scrapbook paper, and thought it was perfect to go with the book page designed stand.

I wanted to use a face for Jack that was a bit different than the norm ... so I did some searching on Graphics Fairy and found this guy ... I thought he looked super happy ... so I borrowed his face.
My listing times on our Instagram page are 1:15, 1:30 and 1:45 today if you want to come by and see what's been keeping me busy!!

Happy Halloween Partiers

Had a lot of fun this week creating some Halloween partiers!!

I love it when things turn out just like I imagined they would, don't you?

Of course it doesn't happen as often as I'd like ...

This trio went on the Reclaimologists' Instagram page. and sold within an hour.  I love that!

I set them up on my dining room mantel for pictures, which did make it a bit crowded, but the more the merrier when it comes to Halloween partiers, I guess.  Hope you are having fun planning your fall and holiday décor!
