Pretty in Pink Party for a Pretty One Year Old
Just back from a quick trip to Idaho to celebrate the first birthday of my granddaughter Charlotte there ...
This is the set up for her birthday cake bar ...
I got to set up the display with my dh doing the high parts, while the other grandma was busy slaving over hot pots ... see it pays to be into decorating, right?
Here's the birthday girl herself ... what a little doll, eh? I loved the outfit her mom found on Etsy!
... and here she delicately tries out the cake ... she really never got deeper than the frosting roses ... and never made a mess of herself ... what a sweetheart.
I loved the campaign glasses with the jelly beans in the bottom ... so did all the 10 year old girls at the party ... hmmm
This is the other grandmother ... Edi, she is wonderful .... I love being related to her!!
Happy birthday Charlotte ... it was so great to see you walking, she is so sweet, and such a determined little person too. But with two older brothers, that trait is bound to come in handy someday!!

A Pink Christmas Gift
I have been collecting pink goodies all year and now it time to gather them and send them to the pinkest of destinations....
These cool pink vintage ornament earrings are hilarious AND pink.
My friend Stacy, the lover of pink, has added hot pink ornaments to her pink and white tree this year and it looks flat out amazing, I love the name of the blog post "Pretties in Pink"!
I thought, given her brighter pink addition that she might appreciate this antique hot pink ornie ...
Along the side of this photo is a few inches of the pink and white garland I made for her ... not sure how she will use it, but it will be adorable, trust me.

With her love of all things pink and all things French, she's bound to adore (or laugh hilariously at) this sweet pink treat, right?
Other gifts include a lace girl card, a lovely pink glass bead bracelet, a pink measuring tape and cute pink dotted Washi tape.
The goodies are gathered, and ready for the final wrap.
I thought the sweet pink winged angel I found on Graphics Fairy was perfect as the crowing touch!!
Just for fun you can go and take a peek at Stacy's blog post about her gift of pinkness.

The American Homemaker's Canned Ham Trailer!
What a fun Saturday I had ... Angie, the American Homemaker, premiered her canned ham trailer!! All pink and turquoise and wonderful ... the perfect vintage traveling booth space and she is coming to flea.o.logy this Saturday!!!
I adore her creative ceiling ... all covered with old fabrics and embroidered linens ... then decoupaged in place!! What a creative girl, is our Angie!
Doesn't it just take you back? It does me for sure ... love the deco lines and especially the pink appliances ...
And she was serving fun and funky Hors d'Oeuvres from those old black and white cooking brochures that your see from the fifties ... the pictures are always black and white and nothing looks tasty ... but add some color and these ribbon sandwiches, green olive poppers, and maraschino cherry filled cooling were quite a hit! I am personally a huge fan of ribbon sandwiches, and even served them at my wedding ...
