Now that we have fun Valentines touches in the house to prepare us all for the season of love, I thought it was time for a sweet heart door decoration. I found this red glittered and reticulated metal cone at a second hand store for a dollar. The glittered hearts are picks from the dollar store. The fairy and pink bird are unlikely clearanced Christmas ornaments, the ribbon is from stock on hand ... that left me to accordion fold old book pages to tuck into the 'nest' ...
... and a couple of great graphics including the bird in a nest with an envelope from Graphics Fairy to fiddle with a bit in paint ... and voila - our love nest door decor is complete. Now my guests will get to share a bit of whimsical Valentine sweetness before they even step inside!! Hope you are feeling loved and that you are having fun with your Valentine additions as well!
Happy Valentines to one and all!!
That is just darling!!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I went to Michael's to get Valentine's supplies today... I think your blog is sucking me into crafting! I love your door hanger!
ReplyDeleteReadings others blogs and looking at goodies on Pinterest has the same effect on me .... hey we are stimulating the economy, right? :-)
DeleteLove it Pollyanna! I have a fetish for anything bird themed. A couple of my Valentines decorations were after Christmas items last year. One is a little sparkly bird with a heart in his mouth. One of my favorite things. My house is all decorated for Valentines, but I haven't done anything outside. So darn cold. I should at least put something on my door. Still have my white wreath with red berries.

Well a white wreath with red berries can become a Valentines wreath super easily, don't you think? I love your Valentines decor, BTW!
