Welcoming Winter Bling

Happy Winter all!  We have been having crisp cold days around here, the coldest and longest 'cold snap' we've had for several years.  So it must be time to celebrate Winter!!

I started work on this winter banner last night, and as always, they take forever ... of course that is sort of my fault, as I put it together I kept thinking of more bling and glitter to add ...

The final touch was adding bits of rhinestone jewelry to the middle of the fan folded lollies.  I am sure you recognized the printed script and medallions on the pennants that I printed off from Graphics Fairy, my go to place for all things graphic!!

Other elements include, silver metallic pipe cleaners, old sheet music, German glass glitter on the letters, and around the edges of the lollies, and sweet dollar store snowflakes between the pennants ... Yes, I stole them off my Silver and White Christmas Tree.  Oh and speaking of my live 'volunteer' Christmas Tree ... I found a place to donate it.  A gent in Salt Lake uses dried out Christmas Trees to fire his kiln ... how cool is that.  So off now to drag the tree to Salt Lake.  (If you are local and want to drag your tree there too, its listed in the charity section of KSL's classified section!)

So I am loving all that winter sparkle and bling, hope you are too!

  5. Pollyanna, love your banner! Great job with all the fab glitz. I will be pinning it. Won't make it this year, but who knows, maybe something similar next year. It has been so darn cold! Just watched the news, looks like 7 more days. I've been going to make a Valentines banner. So cold that at night I just want to curl up under a blanket!
    Hugs,

  6. Your banner is just lovely! I love the French script and the medallions. I am the worst at making them (medallions). If you ever post a DIY, let me know!

  7. Your banner is beautiful!! But. . . the background of the first pic with that lovely cabinet sets the perfect background for your banner. All of it is so inspirational.
    Happy New Year!
