I found this scratched up chrome cake stand at a second hand store, and thought it had possibilities.
I spray painted it a nice French Blue and added some vintage lace around the edge of the plate. Next I went searching and found a sweet little antique postcard on Graphics Fairy. The graphic shows a sweet faced little girl in an egg shell.
Next I cut out and decoupaged the lovely Victorian art to the top of the plate. I think it would be great for an Easter buffet. One could serve deviled eggs, or pastel frosted cupcakes around the rim, so that the graphic shows, wishing all your Easter Guests a Joyful Easter.
I just adore Victorian post card art. If you do too you should go back and take a look at my Freebie Friday post, I am giving away a sweet set of small plates with Victorian Post Card Easter Art. The contest closes Thursday March 15th at Midnight.
How wonderful!
