Steampunk She-Bot!

Just for fun I wanted to feature the she-bot that I bought at my last flea.o.logy sale.
Penny Jones and her daughters came and participated for the first time, as the Miss Fitts.  They are all very talented and it was fun to see their creations.

As you can see, above, her skirt/base is made from part of an antique light fixture. To the left, in the back view, you can see how the light fixture goes up to 'her' arm pits.  Down into the neck of the fixture goes the cork screw that makes her arms and neck.  There is even movement as the arms go up slightly the head comes down, charmingly.

I love the ornamental details too, besides her wings, there is delicate jewelry at one wrist, and a wonderful breast plate decor as well.  Here she is with her new compatriots on my dining room mantel.  And my special thanks to Penelope Jones, her creator!!
